Had a customer wait up MFG/office from rack mounted 24port patch panel and question the cost.
I resolved the issue just wondered if there was an piece of cake way to remove the white print without affecting the black metallic surface underneath?
I'chiliad in the field, so I haven't tried anything yet.
If no-one knows, I'll try rubbing alcohol, smash shine remover, paint thinner, etc.

Have some "telephone call 800-123-4567 for service" labels printed up and stick them over it.

Sometimes silk-screened labels are actually broiled on, and then a solvent won't do much of anything. The penny sounds like a crazy thought but a good one. They aren't as difficult as steel, being by and large zinc, and if you're gentle you might get by without scratching the panel or even the overall surface paint.

A expert respond is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Exactly. If information technology's baked on epoxy forget almost removing. Otherwise, paint thinner works.

I like SnapAV parts because they don't plaster their name and parts all over.
MA is MSRP on everything, and so that works as well.
I got some Leviton parts, and few others that I choose not to sell at Hard disk prices and taking proper noun and part# off suits me.
And yes, I do sell packages and not parts, but I also do plenty of T&M jobs where I don't want to accept to justify every purchase or explain that there is more to a part than only a everyman internet price (things like shipping, storage, bookkeeping, etc).
So yes, it some cases information technology's but easier to not go into that conversation altogether.

Yous only gave me an idea. I'll look at their patch panels when I get a risk.

Did you use them?
